The Sundry was created to make it easier for our community to discover the incredible businesses, makers and goods already around them.
The Sundry is intentionally curated, which means every maker applies before becoming a member. This helps us get to know your business, understand what you offer, and make sure there’s a good place for you within the marketplace.
We also intentionally limit highly similar businesses and products so that the makers who join The Sundry have room to be seen—not just another listing in an overcrowded directory.

Instead of taking a percentage every time you make a sale, The Sundry uses a simple membership model.
You keep 100% of the sales made through your shop.

Nope. We don't take commissions or a percentage of your sales.
The Sundry helps customers discover your products and then directs them to your online shop, where they purchase directly from you.
The customer becomes your customer, the order belongs to you, and the sale stays with your business.

No. Think of The Sundry as the road that leads them to your shop.
A customer can Wander The Sundry, choose a category, discover your product, learn a little about it and your business, and then select Shop This Maker.
From there, they're taken directly to your online store to complete their purchase.

You do—exactly the way you already do.
Because purchases happen through your own shop, you continue to control your pricing, payment processing, inventory, order communication, fulfillment, shipping, pickup and delivery options.
The Sundry never touches the transaction.

No. Membership is available by approval.
We review each application based on location, what you make, your existing online presence, product fit and availability within The Sundry's current categories.
Declining an application doesn't necessarily mean there is anything wrong with the business or product. Sometimes we may simply already have that area of the marketplace well represented.

Not at all.
The Sundry was built with small businesses, cottage businesses, home-based makers and independent entrepreneurs in mind.
You don't need a storefront on Main Street to make something worth finding.

Those options are completely up to you.
Your Sundry listing can help customers understand whether you offer shipping, local delivery, pickup or a combination of the three, but the actual options and fulfillment are handled through your business.
You don't need to change the way you currently operate to join The Sundry.

We want The Sundry to grow alongside our makers.
When you have something new you'd like considered for the marketplace, you'll be able to submit the product information and imagery to us. We'll review it for the appropriate category and marketplace fit before adding it to your Sundry presence.
This also helps us keep the marketplace organized and thoughtfully curated.

We'll update or remove the listing so customers aren't repeatedly being sent to a product that's no longer available.
For seasonal or limited products, we can also treat the listing accordingly rather than permanently removing it when appropriate.

Possibly—but we're intentional about it.
The Sundry isn't designed to have fifteen candle makers, ten bakers selling the same thing, or page after page of nearly identical products.
Some overlap is natural, and different makers can bring very different products and styles to the same category. But we intentionally limit highly similar businesses and products so that customers get variety and our makers have room to actually be discovered.
That's one of the reasons every maker applies before joining.

Once you're approved and choose to join, we'll collect the information needed to build your Sundry presence. This may include your business story, logo, product names, descriptions, product photography, website/shop links, social media, location and your available shipping, pickup or delivery options.
We'll walk you through what we need—you won't be left trying to figure it out yourself.

Your Sundry listings and marketplace presence will be removed at the end of your applicable membership period.
Your business, website, customers and sales remain completely yours—as they always were.
